BESS Weekly: New England moves from fringe market to contracted pipeline

Jupiter Power and Flatiron Energy filed long-term contracts for 1,068MW/4,472MWh across three Massachusetts projects by 2030, led by New England's largest BESS.

Jupiter Power and Flatiron Energy filed long-term contracts with Eversource, National Grid and Unitil for 1,068MW/4,472MWh across three Massachusetts projects by 2030, led by Jupiter's 700MW/2,800MWh Trimount in Everett, New England's largest BESS by some distance.

Avantus closed over $525M in construction financing with BBVA, CIBC and Santander for Aratina 2, 150MW solar and 452MWh storage in Kern County, California, backed by 15-year SCE PPAs.

Frontier Power USA selected four Stella Energy Solutions projects totaling 230MW/920MWh, all deploying Eos zinc hybrid-cathode long-duration tech, with Cerberus and Hudson Bay behind the equity.
