Avantus closed more than $525 million in construction financing on July 9 for Aratina 2 in Kern County, California, 452MWh of BESS plus solar contracted to Southern California Edison under 15-year PPAs, with BBVA, CIBC, and Santander providing the package.
The signal Four days later Fluence announced a US domestic content Smartstack system and turnkey EPC for Rexford 2, 200MW/800MWh. Avantus is keeping these projects, not selling them. Owner-operator platforms are scaling execution capacity, not just development pipelines.
