Batteries lead the ERCOT queue at 166GW, while 25 inverter-based resources lost compliance standing over model data.
ERCOT now shows batteries as the largest single block in its interconnection queue at 166GW and 398GWh, 36.3% of the total and ahead of solar at 158GW. Under NOGRR 245 it has denied extension or exemption requests for 25 inverter-based resources totaling 2,688MW.
The signal August's 750GW national backlog and PJM's first reformed cycle both measured how much capacity is waiting. This update measures something else: projects are losing compliance standing because the engineering documentation did not hold up. Model quality now sets the energization date.
Hiring That work sits with Grid Compliance Engineers and Power Systems Modeling Specialists who can build and defend models to ERCOT standard, and Interconnection Leads who can hold a position through review. Another 116 resources, 13,305MW, await reliability assessment.
